The 20-city cluster
How the
community
actually runs.
This cluster is initiated by the first Space Apps community of India. We equip execution end-to-end — orientations, bootcamps, mentorship and the live 48-hour event.
Orientations
We open each city with a free orientation — what Space Apps is, how the weekend runs, how to use NASA open data even if you've never opened a dataset.
Bootcamps
Hands-on bootcamps: working with open NASA datasets, rapid prototyping, storytelling and pitching — in person and online.
Mentorship
Engineers, researchers, designers and educators from our partner communities are matched to teams for the 48 hours.
Live Event
Finally, all 20 locations host the full Space Apps experience in person on Nov 14–15 — on-site build, judging and celebration.

UWR is the driving force behind Space Apps across 20 locations spanning India and Europe — expanding from last year's 22-location footprint. The only Indian start-up licensed to host at this scale.
- In 2025, UWR directly organized 23 local events globally, engaging 7,900 participants — a 21% year-on-year increase over 2024.
- UWR accounted for 27.5% of all Indian Space Apps registrations in 2025.
- UWR's global contribution to Space Apps grew from 7.1% (2023) → 20.5% (2024) → ~6.9% of a much larger global base (2025).
- 2025 flagship hubs included Kanjirapally, Kochi, Thrissur, and Trivandrum, alongside newer locations like Leh, Srinagar, Imphal, and Ayodhya.
